- Starting with an industry overview panel discussion, the Media Arts Career Kickstarter is a "State of the Media" event for students.
- The event continues with "Speed Networking" where professionals are scattered at tables across Room 314 of the Union to meet with small groups of students (about every 20 minutes, a bell will ring and students will rotate to a new table).
- This event has been held for nearly a decade, giving students a chance to speak with a number of industry professionals about job opportunities and internships as well as ask questions in a small group setting.
