ntTV -- North Texas Television -- provides interesting and informative content to the Denton community and University of North Texas students, as well as provide students with hands on training opportunities. ntTV cablecasts in Denton County on Charter Communications channel 192 and Frontier FiOS channel 46.

ntTV launched as a cable channel and student organization in 1989 when it replaced the university's existing video message board. Over the past 20 years, ntTV has grown to become one of the top student-run cable TV stations in the United States, winning numerous awards from major industry organizations, including the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Broadcast Education Association, and the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.Recording a segment on the UNT campus for an entertainment show.

ntTV provides programming 24/7 and has affiliations with major global media organizations such as Al Jazeera English, mNet, and France 24 which allows for the presentation of programs offering a global perspective not found on any other channel in the region. ntTV also strives to provide a powerful and enriching learning experience to students interested in studio and broadcast production.

In 2010, ntTV won Lone Star Emmy Awards -- one for its election coverage and another for a news feature that was shown on ntTV Nightly News. ntTV has won Lone Star Emmy Awards every year since 2005.
