Catan Club
Catan is a board game created by Klaus Teuber. Released in 1995, it is now one of the most iconic and influential board games in modern history. Catan is multiplayer, strategic, modular, social, and much more.
At Catan Club, you will be placed into a game with other Catan Club Members to play. We foster camaraderie and sportsmanship and welcome all. Queer Cinema Club
The newest club in Media Arts is devoted to LGBTQ+ film, television and media. We'll watch, learn, and talk about queer media and media-makers. We meet Thursdays, 6-8 in RTFP 135.

Scrappy Game Studios
We are an interdisciplinary organization aimed at bringing together students of all majors and talents to create video games. Our focus is on fostering a community where students can come together to discuss game development. From seasoned seniors to freshmen testing themselves for the first time, we become more skilled through our efforts and by raising one another. We actively participate in game dev related activities like game jams, meetings with other local game development groups, and gaming related conventions.

Screenwriting Camp
The Screenwriting Camp is a student organization founded in the Fall Semester of 2023 with the mission to create a space for screenwriters at UNT to give and receive feedback on their scripts in a workshop environment as well as discuss screenwriting topics, such as formatting, structure, character development, and more. Members are able to bring forth their work and discuss the craft with fellow writers.

Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE)
Broadcast and motion picture technology and engineering.
SMPTE helps students and seasoned professionals alike make it in media technology. SMPTE sponsors student chapters like ours at UNT. Student chapters provide the opportunity for students to meet industry leaders and professionals, and to interact outside the classroom with their peers and faculty who have an interest in motion imaging. We help you find jobs, offer opportunities for scholarships, grants, and awards.
