Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE)
Broadcast and motion picture technology and engineering.
SMPTE helps students and seasoned professionals alike make it in media technology. SMPTE sponsors student chapters like ours at UNT. Student chapters provide the opportunity for students to meet industry leaders and professionals, and to interact outside the classroom with their peers and faculty who have an interest in motion imaging. We help you find jobs, offer opportunities for scholarships, grants, and awards.

We are a community of filmmakers and film lovers, who come together to watch and discuss great short films. We learn about film making concepts and work together to create short films.

The Screenwriting Camp is a student organization founded in the Fall Semester of 2023 with the mission to create a space for screenwriters at UNT to give and receive feedback on their scripts in a workshop environment as well as discuss screenwriting topics, such as formatting, structure, character development, and more. Members are able to bring forth their work and discuss the craft with fellow writers.
