Student film receives Kodak honor

The Whale, a short narrative film produced by RTVF students, won the Kodak Film School Cinematography Film Award placing first in the nation. The film was produced on Super16mm film in Professor Eugene Martin's Advanced Film Class in Spring, 2011. The film was shot by Joshua Spires, written and directed by Jaime Chapin, produced by Lea Kocurek, sound designer Kyle Hughes, and edited by Korey Caldwell.. It next competes internationally alongside eight other countries for a spot at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France in February 2012.
